Many of my clients have a seemingly endless array of talents and skills—true multipotentialities. They are so good at so many things, that like rabbits, their passions mingle together, and reproduce into a fluffle of ideas running around every corner of their minds.
(Did you know that a group of rabbits is called a fluffle? You could use colony, but seriously, why would you when fluffle is such a fantastic word?!)
Back to multipotentialites… by the time they get to me, they are totally frustrated. They can’t choose a direction and, most likely, some well-intentioned loved-one, coach, or program keeps telling them to focus on one thing.
But your mind just doesn’t work that way. It bounces from one passion to the next, taking you on a wild ride from super excited to overwhelm every 3.2 seconds!
Ultimately, you feel like a failure, and it breaks my heart.
If you only take one thing from this email, let it be this:
THERE IS NO NEED TO FOCUS ON ONE PASSION, MULTIPOTENTIALITE!
Each one of your talents was given to you in order to deftly weave together the tapestry of your Life Purpose.
I promise you that there is an overarching reason as to why you feel called in all these different directions simultaneously. This is the essence of being a multipotentialite.
So who do you go to when you’re stuck? Who truly understands the complex web of your dreams and ever-changing passions?
Remember, although you are unique in your multiplicity, you are not alone. Your people—human and beyond—are there to celebrate your multifaceted brilliance and together help you integrate ALL YOUR PASSIONS to accomplish your life purpose!
There is a support (eco)system for you—*ahem*😊. One that honors your multipassionate mind and embraces the uniqueness of your path. One that wants to help you embody your fullest self, not slice away pieces of who you are.
