When Too Many Ideas Feel Like Too Much

If you’re anything like me, your mind is always buzzing with ideas. One moment, you’re deep in research on a new project, the next, you’re sketching out a completely different concept that feels just as important. It’s exciting—until it isn’t.

There was a time when I thought my struggle to focus meant I lacked discipline. But then I realized something: Nature doesn’t force discipline. It creates flow.

Plants don’t agonize over which branch to grow first. Kin extend in multiple directions, responding to the conditions around them. Some shoots thrive immediately; others remain dormant, waiting for the right season.

What if you approached your passions the same way?

Instead of trying to control or limit your ideas, what if you learned to listen for which ones want to take root right now; which ones are asking for your energy? And in order to do that, trusted that voice that whispers, “Don’t work on that right now,” rather than thinking it is only procrastination?

In my latest episode of the ReConnect with Plant Wisdom podcast, I talk about how plant communication isn’t just about hearing kin—it’s about learning to listen to yourself. To your deep patterns. To what’s naturally unfolding.
