When the World Hurts, We Gather
The news keeps coming. Floods, hurricanes, war, and hundreds of trees cut down in a single day. Many of us are experiencing fear, despair, anxiety, and anger, sometimes all in the same week.
On Tuesday, we planned to discuss The Meadow That Healed Kiself in our Plant-Inspired Masterclass. The Sprouts who came live asked for something else: a safe space to work through what they are feeling. So that is what we created together. We did not record it. What was shared stays with the people who were there.
This is ecosystem support, and it is at the heart of the Naturally Conscious Community®. As beings of Nature, we sometimes need nurturing before we can act for the living world. Here, you can find it.
The meadow will wait. We return to ki on Tuesday, 10 November. The Masterclass is part of the Blooming Bonus in Seedling Sprouts, for a limited time. See Your Blooming Bonus →

Paint Your Red Thread | Budding Artistry, 14 October
Every life has one pattern running through everything you love and do, even when your pursuits look scattered. On Wednesday, we painted ours, with our plant partners beside us. We did not try to name the thread. We let the brush feel it. All you need is any paint, a brush, paper, and about an hour. The steps and prompts are ready for you to try at home. Noteworthy Conversations
529 trees in one day
On 10 October, 529 trees were cut down at East Potomac Park in Washington, DC, with about 12 hours’ notice. Who speaks for the trees in our parks? Sprouts are asking that question together, and looking for ways to answer it.
Who taught you that plants rank below us?
Lacy M. Johnson begins “A Taste for Meat” with carnivorous plants: “The flytrap knows it has caught something nutritious because the plant can taste.” Then she traces how she learned that plants rank below us, and why she now sees that ranking as a belief we are taught. Where did you first learn it, and when did you start to question it?
